Najee Harris - "Da'Bigger Picture" nonprofit foundation

helps to support undeserved families and hopes to raise awareness for homelessness.

    “Da’ Bigger Picture Foundation focuses on assisting underserved families in reaching their potential and goals. The Foundation hope is to provide tools and assistance to families facing challenging times. Some of the key areas of focus will be education, homelessness, addressing hunger and utilizing sports as a platform to develop life skills.”

  • Event was a great success! It ran from about 10am - 11:45am

  • playing directly off the laptop seemed to work well!

  • mayor Gainey did not attend, but Mel from the office was able to join us​

Date/time logistics:

  • February 17th, 2023. 

  • Staff arrival: 8:45-9:00ish

  • 6th - 8th grade

  • Guest arrival @ 9:15. all guests will need to sign-in and get a visitor sticker.

  • Event 10am - 11:45

    • Jeopardy 10:00 - 11:30

    • Q&A with HBCU 11:30 - 11:45

  • If questions run over, we can 86 the Q&A.

  • Arsenal is providing lunch

Format/Logistics:​​

  • Structured as Jeopardy

  • 120-ish students in the auditorium30 students up front; remainder in the crowd​

  • Teachers designated to each group

Student Engagement:

  • class with the most points got blue jolly ranchers! - colleen purchased

​People Involvement:

  • put on Dr. Walters' calendar from PPS

  • medical students invited SNMA volunteers

  • approved PPS community partners can come

  2. Stop the bleed kits were donated! 25 kits, 1 per classroom.

Alan, Dr. Diego, and Felipe met with SOL group for 1:1 w/ food, from Chef Felipe Crespo, owner of Secreto on Fifth Ave downtown. Could also have him for career day!
